Comparison of early invasive and conservative strategies in patients with unstable coronary syndromes treated with the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor tirofiban - New England Journal of Medicine - 2001
Brief Summary:
In patients with unstable angina or non-ST segment elevation MI, an early invasive strategy (in combination with glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibition with tirofiban) significantly reduced major cardiovascular events versus a selectively invasive strategy. This benefit was largely limited to higher risk patients with TIMI score > 2.Reference: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11419424
