Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy for the prevention of heart failure events - The New England Journal of Medicine - 2009
Brief Summary:
Among patients with HF with LVEF ≤30% and QRS duration ≥130 msec, placement of an ICD with cardiac resynchronization therapy reduces the rate of mortality or HF events when compared to ICD placement alone. This benefit was driven primarily by a reduction in HF events.Reference: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19723701
